life with a chronic disease and a really big yarn stash
The Saturday Update: Week 4
Life went into intermission this week as I spent the ENTIRE WEEK in bed with the flu.
Get your flu shot people!!
I did get a flu shot this year but one of the drugs that I take for my scleroderma interferes with vaccine efficacy. Curses! I do think that my case was kind of mild, but bad enough to make life very difficult for several days. I couldn’t even knit!!
While I was down the rose recovered from its mildew and put out a bloom. Life goes on.
I weave, knit and read in Aurora, Colorado where my garden lives. I have 2 sons, a knitting daughter-in-law, a grandson and two exceptionally spoiled kittens. In 2014 I was diagnosed with a serious rare autoimmune disease called systemic sclerosis along with Sjogren's Disease and fibromyalgia.

Oh no! I hope you feel better:)
The Rose is beautiful.
You poor thing! I am assuming the other patient made you a cuppa or at the very least was a very good boy around the house (he knows who I’m talking about)
I hope you are feeling better soon. In the age of food ordering apps and delivery services you’d think MacKenzie could have used his paws to order you some chicken soup 🙂

I’m much better today and should even get some knitting done. 🙂
I am sorry to hear you were in bed a whole week!
Me too! It’s shocking how hard flu can hit, but I’m up and moving around today. All things considered it could have been worse!

Actually he was incredibly demanding while I was sick! If only cats could make chicken soup…

Ha! If he could do that he’d order cookies!!
Oh that’s right…silly me, yes you’d have a constant stream of delivery trucks with cookies hehehe!
I’m pleased you are feeling better. I’m pleased it wasn’t Chinese
Me too, although we may already have a case of Corona here in Denver.
I do hope not
I’m glad you are feeling better. While you were sick you had a beautiful blanket to snuggle under, if that helps at all.
And it purred!
❤️
So sorry you got hit so hard with the flu! So glad you are at least on the mend 🙂 And your rose is looking beautiful!
Thanks! It’s good to be better.
I hope you feel better soon!
I’m on the mend now. 🙂
Oh good! Tell mister to chill when you dont feel well, lol. Though I imagine our furbabies get distressed when we dont feel well.
This fur baby takes advantage of situation and just uses me as a cat bed when he isn’t demanding cookies.
Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Much better now. I’m knitting again!
I hope you’re much better and back to crafting again!
I am better. Yay, crafting, here I come!
Oh no! What a bummer! I hope you are feeling better.
I am. Today I go back to Kaiser for more testing, but I’m putting on a mask as soon as I get in the door!!
