About

Me spinning
Me at the wheel during a spinning class.

Three years ago I left the biology classroom to begin a new life: retirement!! These days I read, spin, knit, and weave in Aurora, Colorado where my garden lives. I have 2 sons, a knitting daughter-in-law, a grandson and two exceptionally spoiled cats. In August 2014 I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome and limited systemic sclerosis in addition to my ever-annoying Raynaud’s disease. In early 2016 I developed lung disease. Wow. The adventure continues.

    1. OMG! You are so trying to make me cry, aren’t you. Thank you! You have totally made my day, especially since it is coming from you. (I love your blog!! I still want the shortcake recipe…) Encouraging Thunder sounds a little intimidating, doesn’t it. I’ll have to think about the post. Take care also, Marilyn

      1. Oh lordy. Think about it all you want my friend. I thought about it for probably a month. Knowing you, you’ll write something that stirs my soul. You don’t HAVE to write anything, you know. Just know how much I love what you add to my life. ❤
