Hi I’m MacKenzie.

It’s really, really cold outside but it is okay because the Mother of Cats is letting me sleep with my new knitted brother. He is still awfully flat and has lots of pins and knitting needles attached, but he is still warm and furry. The Mother of Cats has been very mean about sharing the new knitted kitty with me, but tonight she finally did the right thing and left him in my kitty bed for the night. Isn’t he a handsome guy? That’s because he looks a lot like me!!
Tomorrow she says she will finish knitting the tummy of the cat and then it will be time to start stuffing and sewing my new buddy up. Yay! Maybe the Mother of Cats isn’t too bad after all…
I’m such a good boy.
Can I have some cookies now?

Notes from the Mother of Cats:
- This knitted cat is Cat by Claire Garland.
- MacKenzie is still struggling with several health issues and is getting medicine twice a day; he hates it but did better this week. He deserves a knitted buddy, don’t you think?
I love Mackenzie’s new little friend. Of course he will never replace your lovely boy. I am really hoping he picks up for you and for me too! I have become very attached to him and feel sad about his health problems. On a cheerful note your beautiful flowers in your last post certainly made me feel better.
He has been doing much better this last week!! It is such a relief to see him racing around the house like the old MacKenzie. He even wakes me up demanding breakfast. Such a relief!!
The knitted cat is just perfect! I can’t wait to get a picture of it with MacKenzie once it’s done.
I have more orchids blooming now!! They make me happy in the gloom of winter.
Does MacKenzie’s buddy have a name?
I’m glad you’re feeling better MacKenzie. Myles and I have been thinking about you:) I won’t tell you what Myles thinks but be glad your a couple thousand miles away because he thinks chase is a great game.
I haven’t thought about a name. Hmmm… MacKenzie is looking good this week: such a relief! It must be the good vibes from you and Myles.
MacKenzie: I think whack the dog is a good game!
Definitely
Both MacKenzie and knitted MacKenzie are looking very handsome – that is some impressive knitting!
MacKenzie – you know Mother of Cats loves you! Stay warm inside with your new knitted buddy 🙂
MacKenzie: You may be right. She finished sewing my buddy tonight and I slept with him in my special bed while she watched television. If only she loved me enough to give me more cookies!!!
LOOLL!!!
